Personalized training for open water dive certification. I will take the time to help you master the skills needed to get PADI certified and become an excellent safe diver.
I can also teach the PADI specialty skills. These will increase your diving opportunities to allow access to specialized experiences.

I have been diving most of my adult life. We have experienced diving in many places around the world. Helping you choose a location is half the fun!
Join a small personalized classroom group to learn about the kinds of gear used, with the techniques and skills that are needed to become a safe diver. Learn about all the varied species you can see on the reefs, or in colder waters. We will also talk about some of the premier dive locations around the world. You will be able to dive in both fresh and saltwater
After certification with my instruction you will master the skills needed to let you dive safely in the most beautiful places on earth.

How about open water classes completed in a tropical location. I will gladly travel to a tropical location with a class to complete this in the warmer clear waters of the carribean or the destination of your choice. We can make it a certification dive trip. A week of the best Scuba diving in warm clear water! We can complete the open water portion of the certification in the first 2 days. That gets you in the water the remaining days of the trip to dive as much as you want! I will glady travel with your group to manage this certification for your groupl.
PADI, SDI & SSI open water dive certification made easy with personal instruction.
Here is a typical layout of the way Open Water scuba certification works. I only teach private classes no mixed groups of people. Children under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
1) Go to the PADI website and build a profile on their site. ( for every diver)
2) Select the open water diver course. I do not buy resell this course like a dive shop. This is something you can purchase direct with PADI.
Complete the eLearning course which typically takes 6-10 hours. Lots of variables with this to complete it depending upon your focus to get it done. Don't forget your Photo needs to be added to the profile. Your certification cannot be completed with out a photo.
3) Contact me when complete with the registration number on your eLearning form in the upper right corner. Its a very long alpha numeric string. I can pull your class records for the eLearning and we can schedule the pool.
4) The pool portion of the class. I typically provide the dive gear for the pool. This part of the training is where you actually learn to dive. All skills are taught in the pool. There are 28 pool skills . Depending on how comfortable you are we could complete this in one day. On average its probably 2 days with a longer 6 hour day 1, and a shorter 2 hour day for day 2. Quite often with people very comfortabe in the water its completed in a single day.
5) Open water check out dives are the final step. Many of the pool skills are not repeated in the open water portion. This portion requires a 20' depth. There are 4 segments or "dives" in this final stage. Only 3 training dives are allowed per day. This requires a 2 day schedule.
The first 3 segments consist of your demonstrating the pool skills you learned now in the open water setting. The final segment is a tour of the dive site while we evaluate the skills you learned. This dive will be 20-30 min long and have dives that go down to approximately 40 feet but not deeper than 50 feet . After this dive we have a debriefing on shore at the end to suggest corrections or more practice to master the more challenging skills.
Equipment needed.
Typical requirements are Mask Fins and a Snorkel. I can provide these for the pool. However you must have dive boots for the fins. We can discuss gear before the pool class Starts.

3) open water.
6-10 hours academic portion
6-8 hours pool portion
5-7 hours open water portion
Accomadations are fantastic and affordable
All gear is available at the dive resorts. The the resorts or local dive shops are fully stocked with great rental equipment. The dive shops are fully capable for any service needed.
This does not have to be only for new open water divers. We can instruct you on plenty of additional PADI, SDI-TDI or SSI certifications while you're there. Night diving, boat diving, navigation, etc.
We have traveled and visited many dive sites around the tropical regions of the world. Many of them are our favorite locations for completing new diver certification.
